Transmission of channel state information reference signals for different subband sizes

Example embodiments generally relate to transmitting a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) for different sub-band sizes. In an example embodiment, a terminal device may receive information about CSI-RS resource mapping from a network device. The information about CSI-RS resource mapping comprises: first information indicating to allocate one or more resource elements in a resource block for one or more CSI-RS ports; and the second information is used for indicating to allocate one or more additional resource elements in the resource block for the one or more CSI-RS ports. The second information is configured for the edge sub-band.
