Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a method for producing a component from a slab made of medium manganese steel containing 4 to 12 wt.% Mn and having a TRIP effect at room temperature, in which the slab is mechanically divided into prefabricated slabs of desired dimensions, on which divided edges are produced by the mechanical division, the invention relates to a method for producing a prefabricated part from a prefabricated blank having a divided edge, and cold-forming the prefabricated blank having the divided edge at room temperature or a temperature above room temperature and below 60 DEG C to obtain the part, characterized by cost-efficient production, improved formability with reduced crack formation of the formed cut edge, while reducing the forming force, and by a method for producing the prefabricated part. According to the invention, it is proposed that the mechanical separation is carried out at a preheating temperature in the range of 60 DEG C to less than 250 DEG C.
