Zusammenfassung:A minimally invasive micro percutaneous mechanical circulation support system is disclosed. The system may be placed through the aortic valve via a single femoral artery access point. The system includes a low profile axially rotating blood pump carried by the distal end of the catheter. The system may be percutaneously inserted through the femoral artery and positioned through the aortic valve into the left ventricle. The device actively unloads the left ventricle by pumping blood from the left ventricle into the ascending aorta and systemic circulation.
