Zusammenfassung:	According to the air conditioner and the control method thereof, a compressor works for the first preset duration according to the preset frequency, an electronic expansion valve changes the preset opening degree within the second preset duration, and the exhaust temperature of the compressor before and after the electronic expansion valve is changed is obtained through an exhaust temperature sensor; and/or the exhaust temperature of the compressor and the outdoor environment temperature are obtained through an exhaust temperature sensor; and when the exhaust temperature before and after the electronic expansion valve is changed meets a first preset condition, and/or the exhaust temperature and the outdoor environment temperature meet a second preset condition, it is judged that the exhaust temperature sensor falls off.
