A method and apparatus for determining reply content to be included in a reply of a user to an electronic communication based on characteristics of the electronic communication and schedule data of the user. Some of those implementations involve determining reply content based on an electronic communication that includes an event and is sent to a user, the reply content being customized for the electronic communication and for schedule data of the user that is temporally related to the event; and providing the reply content to be included in the reply of the user to the electronic communication.
