Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses a method for predicting overload of a regenerative resistor of a servo driver. The method comprises the following steps of: establishing an approximate function relationship which takes heat dissipation time required by the regenerative resistor as a dependent variable and takes conduction time of a driving transistor as an independent variable; determining the conduction duration of the driving transistor in response to the start conduction of the driving transistor; on the basis of the approximate function relationship, the conduction duration is substituted into the approximate function relationship to calculate and obtain heat dissipation time required by the regenerative resistor; and predicting whether the regenerative resistor has an overload risk or not according to whether the calculated required heat dissipation time exceeds a preset heat dissipation duration threshold value or not.
