Method for efficient power savings for waking up radio

Exemplary embodiments disclosed herein provide procedures for power efficient and fast access point (AP) discovery using wake-up radios. Additional embodiments provide a procedure of securely waking up a station (STA) using a wakeup radio (WUR). Further described herein are methods for coverage detection and STA roaming of a wake-up radio.
