The invention provides a split distance meter and a measuring method thereof. The distance between the reference center and the measurement object surface in the two directions can be easily and stably measured. The division distance meter is provided with: a reference center sensor that measures and outputs an offset distance at which a reference center is offset from a center line of a capture region in which the reference center is captured; and a pair of distance sensors that detect and output a measured distance from the center line to the surface to be measured. The distance sensor outputs a split distance by correcting the measured distance with an offset distance.
