The miniaturized butterfly antenna comprises a main board and a side board, the mainboard comprises a positioning hole, a side plate slot, a butterfly patch, a mainboard dielectric substrate and an SMA signal input end; each side plate comprises a side plate dielectric substrate and a quadrilateral patch; the two side plates are inserted through the slots in the left side and the right side of the main plate, the butterfly-shaped patch and the quadrilateral patch are combined into a closed complete antenna arm, and part of the antenna arm is vertically placed through ingenious design, so that the length of the antenna on a plane is greatly reduced, and the antenna is more suitable for carrying and working; and the shapes and the like of the planar antenna arm and the vertical antenna arm are reasonably optimized to obtain a proper low-frequency point and a relatively wide bandwidth.
