The invention relates to a device for identifying a signal generator on a node, which signal generator is not associated with a motor vehicle. The device is configured to ascertain environmental data of one or more environmental sensors of the at least one motor vehicle during at least one travel at the node. The device is also configured to ascertain position information and/or orientation information of the plurality of signal generators at the node relative to each other and/or relative to the parking line at the node based on the environment data.
