Infrared monitoring and early warning device and method for capacitor bank of transformer substation

The invention provides an infrared monitoring and early warning device and method for a capacitor bank of a transformer substation. The infrared monitoring and early warning device comprises an infrared sensor, a data processing host, a communication module, an early warning server, an information display module, a short message alarm module and a power supply system, the infrared sensor monitors the temperature state of the capacitor bank; the data processing host processes the temperature signal to obtain a real-time temperature; the communication module sends the real-time temperature and position information to an early warning server; the early warning server analyzes the real-time temperature and sends out graded early warning information and position information; and early warning information is sent through the short message alarm module. The method has the advantages that the substation capacitor bank is subjected to infrared monitoring, the workload of substation operation and maintenance personnel
