According to the invention, a bridged bismetallocene rare earth compound is combined with a cocatalyst organic boron salt and a main group alkyl reagent to serve as a catalytic system to catalyze random copolymerization of ethylene and styrene monomers; the bridged bismetallocene rare earth compound which has low catalytic activity or no catalytic activity on copolymerization of ethylene and styrene monomers shows high catalytic activity on copolymerization of ethylene and styrene monomers, and has preferential selectivity on ethylene polymerization; the crystalline ethylene-styrene monomer random copolymer containing the polyethylene chain segment is prepared, and the copolymer is low in styrene content and specifically contains 2.0 mol%-20.0 mol% of styrene.
