Zusammenfassung:The present application provides a process for recovering materials from a battery, and thus recycling the various materials. The processing method involves: processing the plurality of cells into a reduced size feed stream; followed by recovery of a copper-containing product, a cobalt-containing, nickel-containing and/or manganese-containing product, and a lithium-containing product by a series of separation, separation and/or leaching steps; and optionally allowing recovery of an iron-containing product, an aluminum-containing product, a graphite product, etc. The present application also provides an apparatus and system for achieving size reduction of a plurality of cells under immersion conditions.
