Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to daisy chain configuration using priority values. A device is configured to receive a set of bits of a first packet from a previous device of a plurality of devices connected in the daisy chain configuration, the set of bits of the first packet including a first priority value, and if the device does not have a second packet for output to a destination device of the plurality of devices, the set of bits of the first packet including a second priority value. If so, the set of bits of the first packet is output to a subsequent device of the plurality of devices.
