The method comprises the following steps: acquiring an image of a target area at a slag falling position of the conveyer belt below a slag outlet of the heading machine in a heading state of the heading machine; obtaining a sparse optical flow of the target area, and calculating the proportion of the optical flow in the target area as a flow rate; and if the flow rate is smaller than the set value, slag deposition on the conveying belt is judged, and slag deposition treatment is executed.
