Hybrid photovoltaic module

Aspects of the present disclosure relate to configurations of hybrid photovoltaic cell arrays and hybrid photovoltaic modules having single-sided photovoltaic cells and double-sided photovoltaic cell substrings. Other aspects relate to hybrid photovoltaic cell arrays and hybrid photovoltaic modules having sub-strings of differently sized and/or cut photovoltaic cells. The sub-strings of photovoltaic cells electrically connected in series may be connected to each other in parallel or in series-parallel fashion.
