Rotary transmission system using waveguide

A coupler provides a high speed data link between the rotating portions, the coupler including an annular channel surrounding the hollow cylindrical volume and the at least two antennas. The annular channel includes an electrically conductive material and includes an inner ring, an outer ring rotatable relative to the inner ring, and two sidewalls on both sides of the ring. An inner antenna is mechanically coupled to the inner ring, and an outer antenna is mechanically coupled to the outer ring.
