Zusammenfassung:The invention discloses media design and write techniques for creating neutral polarity conversion regions. A thermally assisted magnetic recording (HAMR) device is configured to write neutral polarity regions on a magnetic medium during the same pass of a recording head, wherein other regions are written with positive polarity and negative polarity.
