Smooth switching system and method based on multiple USB cameras

The invention provides a smooth switching system and method based on a plurality of USB cameras. The system comprises a USB camera switcher, a plurality of USB cameras and a cloud conference terminal, the USB camera switcher comprises a message processing module, a virtual USB camera module and an equipment management module; a control message is received and analyzed and is sent to the equipment management module for processing; the control message comprises a camera switching control message; the method comprises the following steps: pre-constructing a virtual USB camera; and according to the camera switching control message, opening a newly accessed USB camera, reading a video frame of the newly accessed USB camera, storing the video frame into a cache queue of the virtual USB camera, and sending the video frame in the cache queue to the cloud conference terminal. Compared with the prior art, the method can achieve the smooth switching of a plurality of USB cameras, and improves the switching experience of
