Zusammenfassung: | The invention provides an iron phosphate precursor and a preparation method thereof, a lithium iron phosphate positive electrode material and a lithium ion battery, and relates to the technical field of lithium ion batteries. The preparation method of the iron phosphate precursor comprises the following steps: mixing iron ore, a phosphorus source and acid to obtain a mixed solution; and carrying out hydrothermal reaction on the mixed solution, carrying out solid-liquid separation, and then cleaning and drying a solid product to obtain the iron phosphate precursor. The invention further provides an iron phosphate precursor which comprises the hexagonal lamellar primary particles.
