The modification method comprises the following steps: mixing the silicon oxide loaded nitrogen-containing carbon catalyst with an alkaline solution, stirring, and drying to obtain the loaded carbon catalyst. The method is a universal method and is suitable for the silicon oxide loaded nitrogen-doped carbon type catalyst. According to the modification method of the catalyst, a technical scheme of alkali leaching desilicication is adopted, and a part of silicon oxide carrier is etched from the catalyst loaded with nitrogen-doped carbon, so that the specific surface area and the pore volume of the catalyst are improved, the content of active components containing nitrogen and carbon of the catalyst is increased, and the conversion rate of the catalyst is greatly improved; and the service life of the catalyst can be prolonged.
