Passive cooling for medical imaging probe

Systems and methods for passive cooling of a medical imaging probe are provided. A medical imaging probe configured for use in a medical imaging system may include an enhancement shaft having a thermal body frame disposed within a space inside the shaft; and a heat pipe disposed within the inner surface of the shaft. The thermal body frame may be connected with the transducer at the head cover end of the shaft.
