Zusammenfassung: | Systems and methods for passive cooling of a medical imaging probe are provided. A medical imaging probe configured for use in a medical imaging system may include an enhancement shaft having a thermal body frame disposed within a space inside the shaft; and a heat pipe disposed within the inner surface of the shaft. The thermal body frame may be connected with the transducer at the head cover end of the shaft. The thermal body frame and the heat pipe are configured for thermal conduction, and the thermal body frame and the heat pipe are arranged such that they are in contact with each other to facilitate transfer of heat from the transducer to the outer surface of the shaft.
