A device configured for operation in a bidirectional wireless communication network in a first mode of operation in which the device is in a connected mode for a first time interval and a second mode of operation in which the device performs passive communication at most for a second, different time interval, the device is adapted, in a first mode of operation, to obtain a set of measurements comprising at least one measurement by measuring radio link parameters relating to operation of the wireless communication network.
