Zusammenfassung: | This polarizing plate is obtained by laminating a polarizer, a first protective film disposed on one surface of the polarizer, a second protective film disposed on the other surface of the polarizer, and a release film disposed on the surface of the first protective film on the opposite side from the polarizer. The second protective film has a light absorption coefficient A2 of 1.0 * 102 to 4.5 * 102/[mu] m for light having a wavelength of 9.4 [mu] m. In a cross section of the polarizing plate along the lamination direction, the inclination angle phi of a straight line connecting an end point P1 on the opposite side of the peeling film from the first protective film and an end point P2 on the second protective film side of the polarizer in the cut end face is 0.5-10 degrees with respect to the lamination direction.
