Zusammenfassung:Aspects of the present disclosure relate to genetically altered LysM receptors. In particular, the present disclosure relates to replacing a portion or all of the motifs in the LysM1 domain with the corresponding motifs from the LysM1 domain of the donor LysM receptor, which can alter affinity, selectivity and/or specificity for oligosaccharides, particularly for Nd factor (lipochitooligosaccharide (LCO)). The present disclosure also relates to genetically altered LysM receptors in plants to include a modified LysM1 domain, and to genetically altered LysM receptors in plants by replacing part or all of the motifs in the LysM1 domain.
