The invention provides an online upgrading method for an HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) communication module. The online upgrading method comprises the following steps: an upper computer module of a master station generates a firmware package and a check code; the connection module obtains the generated firmware package and the check code from the master station system and distributes the firmware package and the check code to the HPLC communication module in a broadcast mode; after receiving the broadcast upgrading request command, the HPLC module backs up original program firmware; the HPLC module verifies the received firmware package based on the check code, and if the verification is passed, the HPLC module decompresses the firmware package to obtain a new version of program firmware; after the HPLC module receives the upgrade activation command issued by the connection module, the HPLC module relocates the new version of program firmware, and restart operation is executed after the upgrad
