The method comprises the following steps: acquiring bus voltage and feeder outlet current of a power distribution network to judge whether an inter-phase voltage or phase voltage fault component meets a starting criterion; judging whether the negative-sequence component and the zero-sequence component of the short-circuit current meet an inter-phase short-circuit fault criterion or not; if the criteria are met, selecting a fault phase by using the phase current difference break variable, and calculating an upstream fault position k1 and a downstream fault position k2 according to the non-fault phase bus negative sequence voltage and the non-fault phase feeder positive sequence current; if any one of the upstream fault position k1 and the downstream fault position k2 is smaller than the distance protection setting value kset, it is judged that th |
