The method comprises the following steps: S1, clustering data required by short-term power load prediction; s2, filling the data required by the short-term power load prediction; s3, constructing a short-term power load prediction model based on a decision tree method of gradient lifting; and S4, completing short-term power load prediction by adopting the short-term power load prediction model. According to the method provided by the invention, real-time power dispatching of a power supply department and a power distribution department can be met, a power plant is helped to make a reasonable power generation plan, and related departments coordinate the relationship among power supply, power distribution and power utilization, so that a power system runs more smoothly and stably.
