Zusammenfassung: | Embodiments include a method for a user equipment (UE) configured to communicate with a wireless network via a primary cell group (MCG) and a secondary cell group (SCG). Such a method includes entering an energy saving mode for the SCG in response to receiving a first command via the MCG or the SCG; while in an energy saving mode for the SCG and in an active mode for the MCG, beam fault detection (BFD) for the SCG is performed and one or more beam management operations for the SCG are avoided from being performed. In some embodiments, the UE may perform various operations after detecting a beam failure in the SCG while in an energy saving mode for the SCG. Other embodiments include supplemental methods for a network node configured to provide MCG or SCG, and a UE and network node configured to perform such methods.
