The method comprises the following steps: setting a motor current quick-break protection fixed value; a motor protection device constant value setting calculation mode; measuring the effective value of the electric quantity in the starting process of the motor and storing data; determining the change rate of the motor starting current relative to time in the starting process; calculating a current quick-break protection constant value and verifying the sensitivity; and the generated current quick-break protection constant value is stored in a read-only memory EEPROM and is called by a device relay protection module program.
