The invention relates to spreadsheet-based software application development. Aspects described herein may be used with local spreadsheet applications, web, and/or cloud-based spreadsheet solutions to create customized software applications. The spreadsheet lacks a conceptual framework that acts as a platform tool to build customized or complex software applications. Using the methods and systems described herein, customized and/or complex software applications may be created using one or more spreadsheets as a base blueprint for the software applications. The resulting software application may be static/read-only, or may be interactive to allow a user to dynamically add, delete, edit, or otherwise modify application data via one or more online web pages or mobile applications.
