Biodegradable coatings based on aqueous PHA dispersions

Disclosed herein is a biodegradable aqueous dispersion consisting of from about 35% to about 75% by weight of water and from about 25% to about 65% by weight of a polyhydroxyalkanoate. Also disclosed is a biodegradable catering service article comprising a biodegradable substrate having at least one food contact surface.
