Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a fastening element (1), in particular a torque support, for fastening a rotary encoder (21) having an encoder shaft to a housing (22), comprising: a ring (2) by means of which the encoder shaft can be surrounded; at least two first recesses (3), by means of which the fixing element (1) can be fixed to the rotary encoder (21) or the housing (22); at least two second recesses (4), by means of which the fixing element (1) can be fixed to the housing (22) or the rotary encoder (21); and at least two webs (5) which each extend radially outward or inward from a respective connecting region (6) of the ring (2) and which each have one of the second recesses (4), the respective connecting region (6) being arranged in the positive circumferential direction (30) close to one of the two adjacent first recesses (3), each web (6) extends in the opposite circumferential direction (31) in the direction of the other of the two adjacent first recesses (3).
