Drum-type washing machine

A drum-type washing machine (1) has a door (20) on the front surface of a washing machine body (11). The door (20) is formed so as to comprise: a first flat surface (101) which is a surface that is vertical or inclined rearward from bottom to top; and a second flat surface (102) which is formed above the first flat surface (101) and is an inclined surface inclined rearward from bottom to top with respect to the first flat surface (101). The door (20) is connected to the washing machine body (11) through a hinge provided in the region of the first plane (101), and rotates in a direction orthogonal to the first plane (101) through the hinge.
