Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses an application of a soybean GmGS1beta2 gene in regulation and control of soybean agronomic and quality traits. The soybean agronomic and quality traits comprise protein content of soybean seeds, and/or hundred-grain weight, and/or root nodule number. According to the invention, the agronomic and quality characters of soybean crops can be changed by regulating and controlling the expression of the GmGS1beta2 gene or the encoded protein thereof in soybeans or changing the functional variation sites of the GmGS1beta2 gene by utilizing gene editing. A transgenic soybean is constructed by using a soybean GmGS1beta2 gene coding sequence, the hundred-grain weight of the soybean over-expressed with the GmGS1beta2 gene is remarkably increased, the protein content is remarkably increased, and the number of root nodules is remarkably increased; particularly, the influence of the functional variation site of the GmGS1beta2 gene on the yield and quality of the soybean is changed by gene editing.
