Zusammenfassung: | The invention discloses application of arabidopsis thaliana KAKU4 protein and a coding gene thereof in regulation and control of plant leaf senescence. One technical scheme protected by the invention is application of a protein derived from arabidopsis thaliana in regulation and control of plant leaf senescence, and the protein can be a protein with an amino acid sequence represented by a sequence 2 in a sequence table. Experiments prove that the reduction of the expression quantity of the KAKU4 gene in the KAKU4 gene mutant kaku4 can lead to obvious early senescence of leaves, the relative chlorophyll content in rosette leaves is obviously reduced, and the content of salicylic acid, the content of jasmonic acid, the content of abscisic acid, the relative ion permeability and the content of H2O2 are obviously accumulated; the relative chlorophyll content of leaves of a KAKU4 gene back-complemented strain is similar to that of a wild type, and an overexpression strain is higher than that of the wild type.
