Zusammenfassung: | The invention belongs to the technical field of non-oxide ceramic-based composite materials, and discloses whisker toughened high-entropy carbide ceramic as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The method comprises the following steps: mixing high-entropy carbide (Ti0. 2Zr0. 2Nb0. 2Ta0. 2Mo0. 2) C powder and silicon carbide whiskers, then adding Co to prepare (Ti0. 2Zr0. 2Nb0. 2Ta0. 2Mo0. 2) C-SiCw-Co mixed powder, pressing the mixed powder into a green body, and then preparing the whisker toughened high-entropy carbide multiphase ceramic at 1450-1650 DEG C under the pressure of 30-40 MPa by adopting a spark plasma sintering or hot pressing sintering process, and the multiphase ceramic has higher fracture toughness and lower densification temperature. The relative density is greater than 96%, the Vickers hardness is 22-25 GPa, the fracture toughness is 5-7 MPa.m < 1/2 >, and the alloy can be applied to preparation of cutting difficult-to-machine materials or aerospace wear-resistant parts.
