The production method comprises the steps of material mixing, blending, pressing, sintering and shaping. In the step of material mixing, first iron powder is mixed with graphite and zinc stearate, and mixed powder is prepared; in the blending step, the mixed powder and second iron powder are blended to prepare a mixture; the mixture comprises the following components in percentage by weight: 1.0-1.2% of carbon, 0.3-0.5% of zinc stearate, the balance of iron and less than 2% of other inevitable impurities; and pressing, sintering and shaping the mixture to obtain the powder metallurgy sensor gear ring.
