Firstly, a refractive index matching measurement platform is built; in the testing process, the transparent spherical particles moving to the shooting range are lightened through a line laser light source, and then images of the whole water tank width in the laser lightening range are continuously shot through a camera at a fixed frequency; part of the images are selected as a training set to train a neural network to automatically recognize a lighted transparent spherical particle area, the area of spherical particles penetrating through a monitored cross section is obtained, the particle movement speed is obtained through a particle tracking speed measurement method, and finally the sediment transport rate of spherical particles with different particle sizes and the total bed load sediment transport rate at the monitored cross section are calculated.
