The invention discloses a system and a method for large-scale industrial continuous production of polyglycolide (PGA), which comprises the following steps: in a polyglycolide (PGA) device of 1-300 thousand tons per year, firstly feeding a glycolide raw material and a catalyst into a first polymerization reactor for adiabatic polymerization, and then feeding into a second polymerization reactor for further polymerization, removing part of polymerization heat through conduction oil in a jacket and a winding pipe of the second polymerization reactor, then entering a third polymerization reactor for adiabatic polymerization, adding an antioxidant and an inactivator to terminate the reaction after the polymerization reaction is finished, and then removing unreacted glycolide raw materials in a polymerization product through a devolatilization device to obtain the glycolide product. And finally, crystallizing, granulating, packaging and stacking the polymerization product to obtain a polyglycolide product with the
