(1-x) Lia MnbMcM'dO2, and the multiphase composite layered manganese-based positive electrode material comprises a two-phase composite layered structure formed by an alpha-LiAlO2 phase and a Lia MnbMcM'dO2 phase. The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, obtaining a precursor with a pomegranate-shaped structure through a coprecipitation-spray granulation combined technology, and then doping rare earth elements, lithiating and sintering at high temperature. According to the invention, an alpha-LiAlO2 phase and a LiaMnbMcM'dO2 phase are interactively grown to form a composite structure layered material with the alpha-LiAlO2/LiaMnbMcM'dO2 phase coexisting, so that the cycling stability and the rate capability of the LiaMnbMcM'dO2 phase can be effectively improved.
