MOBILE IOT EDGE DEVICE USING RECONFIGURABLE PROCESSOR MODULE OF 3D DIE STACK AND PROCESSOR-INDEPENDENT 5G MODEM

A mobile IoT edge device includes a reconfigurable processor unit and a connection unit independent of the processor, the reconfigurable processor unit including a substrate; a die stack coupled to the substrate and having an FPGA die element and a reconfigurable die element, the reconfigurable die element being able to function as a storage memory or as a configuration memory based on configuration information; and a processor coupled to the substrate and configured to cooperate with the die stack for processing data, the processor independent connection unit coupled to the reconfigurable processor unit and including an antenna; a radio frequency chip (RFIC) coupled to the antenna and configured to receive an incoming signal and transmit an outgoing signal through the antenna; circuitry configured to convert the incoming signal to incoming data or transmit the outgoing signal to outgoing signal; and a system interface configured to transmit incoming data to the reconfigurable processor unit for processing, a
