The sodium ion battery positive electrode material comprises a high-entropy type layered transition metal oxide and a solid electrolyte coating layer coating the surface of the high-entropy type layered transition metal oxide; wherein the chemical formula of the high-entropy layered transition metal oxide is NaTMO2, and TM comprises at least five of Li, B, Mg, Al, Ca, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Y, Zr, Nb, Mo, Ru, Sn, Sb, Te, Ir and Bi.
