The present application discloses an optical flow cytometer for blood cell characterization, the optical flow cytometer comprising: an optical flow device for forming a blood cell flow; the at least one laser is used for forming forward scattered light and lateral scattered light and exciting to generate fluorescent light; the side light collector is used for collecting side scattered light and fluorescent light; the optical splitter is used for reflecting lateral scattered light from each blood cell in the blood cell liquid flow and transmitting fluorescence from each blood cell in the blood cell liquid flow; the first linear photoelectric detector is used for detecting the lateral scattered light; the through hole light stopper comprises a through hole inner cavity, and fluorescent light enters from an inlet of the through hole inner cavity and exits from an outlet of the through hole inner cavity; the fluorescence photoelectric detector is used for detecting fluorescence; the numerical aperture of the side
