The combined flotation inhibitor for sphalerite comprises an organic inhibitor gromwell red and any one or two of inorganic inhibitors CaO, ZnSO4, NaOH, Na2SO3 and Na2S. The combined inhibitor is characterized in that the organic inhibitor can be combined with Cu < 2 + > ions in ore pulp to reduce activation of the Cu < 2 + > ions on the sphalerite, more importantly, the inorganic inhibitor and the organic inhibitor can be subjected to a complexation reaction, the sphalerite can be selectively inhibited, and the inorganic inhibitor and a collecting agent generate competitive adsorption to reduce floating of the sphalerite, so that the flotation rate of the sphalerite is increased. And compared with a conventional inhibitor, the flotation separation of sphalerite and chalcopyrite is
