Zusammenfassung:An aquaculture luminaire (10, 12) produces upward light (26) and downward light (24) under the water surface. The upward light (26) is all directed at an angle with respect to the vertical greater than a threshold angle. The light division between the upward direction and the downward direction may be configurable. Alternatively or additionally, the threshold angle may be configurable such that it ensures that the light exceeds the angle of total internal reflection at the water surface.
