Zusammenfassung: | The invention relates to a valve (300) for separating a component of a sample liquid introduced into a mobile phase, preferably in a high performance chromatography system (10), having a rotor (210) and a stator (220), a flow path being established or blocked by a rotational movement of the rotor (210) relative to the stator (220), and having a compensation element (310) for compensating the component of the sample liquid introduced into the mobile phase, the compensating element, together with the rotor (210) and the stator (220), is arranged in the axial direction and, in the operating state of the valve (300), enables an axial compression of the rotor (210) relative to the stator (220). The compensation element (310) has at least one spherical surface (320) in order to compensate for an axial offset between the rotor (210) and the stator (220).
