Fixation dressings with conformal boundaries

The invention provides a fixation dressing with conformal boundaries. A medical dressing is disclosed that has a flexible and conformable boundary when attached to the skin and a device such as a catheter or the like to facilitate secure adherent fixation of the medical dressing to the skin for a longer period of time. The medical dressings include a relatively low modulus backing layer, a relatively high modulus support material paired with the backing layer, and tube slots configured, for example, to stabilize catheters and other tubes on the skin of a patient.
