The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, coating a layer of surfactant on the surfaces of magnetic inorganic nano-particles to inhibit agglomeration among the particles; and depositing an amorphous tin dioxide layer on the precursor by adding an organic tin source with a carboxyl functional group on the basis of a sol-gel chemical principle. In the process, a core-shell structure Fe3O4 (at) SnO2/PVP nano chain with excellent monodispersity is obtained in a carboxyl-containing environment (repulsion among particles is increased) by utilizing the directional induction effect of an external magnetic field; the nano chain has high specific surface area, good magnetic responsiveness and excellent monodispersity, and the problem of agglomeration of the current magnetic nano chain is effectively solved.
