Pattern transfer sheet and method using release layer and/or paste mixture

A pattern transfer sheet and method using a release layer and/or a paste mixture provides a pattern transfer sheet and method for printing paste patterns having a high aspect ratio (e.g., thin gate lines) and for increasing the throughput of pattern transfer printing. A groove in the pattern transfer sheet is internally coated with a coating layer configured to decompose upon irradiation, the groove being configured to be filled with a printing paste and to enable the printing paste to be released from the groove onto a receiving substrate upon irradiation by a laser beam. The coating is configured to enhance release of the paste-increase throughput and printing accuracy. The receiving substrate may be cleaned after slurry deposition by removing decomposition products of the coating therefrom.
